So beyond meat is super hot at the moment, I mean, I know a thing or two about meat substitutes... But the basic problem is still the same... Too expensive for the average person, sure it's sustainable, sure it's tasty, but... When people can get garbage ground beef for like 3 bucks a pound and have a couple kids, they aren't exactly running to the store for 10$ a pound meat substitute, thus enforcing the bad food choices people generally make...
Which brings me back to the basic problem, eating more consciously is also significantly more expensive, which means, less viable long term...
I'm hoping that in a few decades research advances and production goes mainstream. Imagine people selling burger seeds so that you can grow them in your aeroponic garden or something.
Or even better, burger trees that produce meat fruit. I'm imagining a pomegranate kind of fruit that you need to crush to make the burger flour. Water and butter sold separately.
re: Food Mention
@rick_777 This would be awesome, but for now I would settle for something that's cheaper than meat... If you want your alternative to sell make it more affordable than the other thing...
